About Cape Cruiser

Cape Cruiser are based in Sagres harbour and offer boat trips all year round for family days out, fishing trips, private charters and sunset cruises around the beautifully rugged coastline at "The End of the World"!

Cabo São Vicente is the most south westerly point in Europe and up until the Middle Ages when Henry the Navigator, Vasco da Gama and Fernão Magalhães (amongst others) finally rounded the cape, was thought to be the end of the world.

Cape Cruiser will take you on a boat trip around the cape on board the " Estrela do Rio" - A trip with panoramic views of monuments, beaches, cliffs and the light house. This cruise is in the afternoons from 15.00 to 16.45.

Cape Cruiser also run a morning cruise from 10.30 to 13.00 to enjoy the wonderful scenery as you sail along the coastline of Sagres and keep a look out for the dolphins that regularly visit the boat. A light lunch on board is included.

Family fishing trips on board the "Estrela do Rio" are a unique opportunity to fish in a typical Portuguese manner using hand lines. In a relaxed atmosphere on board and with the help of a friendly crew, the fishing is suitable for beginners, groups of fishermen and families (children welcome). The catch will be cooked on board and served for lunch!

Special BBQ boat trips every Saturday in July, aboard the "Estrela do Rio". The trips start at 11.00am and return at 2.00pm. During the trip the boat stops near a beach so that everyone can enjoy a swim before lunch. Lunch includes grilled meat, chips, salad, bread, red or white wine and water. (Other drinks and snacks can also be purchased onboard). The price is 40,00€ per adult and 20,00€ per child (up to 12 years). *The trips will run as long as there is a minimum of 10 people.

For more serious fishing enthusiasts the "Pescamar" is available for Shark and Big Game Fishing (catch and release) in season.

Cape Cruiser have 2 boats

• " Estrela do Rio", a 24m converted fishing boat that can carry up to 54 people, complete with covered seating area, bar, cooking and toilet facilities.
  Estrela do Rio is available for party's, fishing (groups), sunset cruise and private charters.Catering can be arranged on board.  Charters from only 200€ per hour - a great way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion.
  On Fridays the "Estrela do Rio" is normally chartered for diving with the local dive school from 10.00 until 14.30.
• "Pescamar", which can carry up to 8 people and is available for  big game and shark fishing (catch and release), wreck fishing and bottom fishing. Rods and bait provided. Possible to take your own fishing equipment. Drinks and package lunch available. Individuals and beginners are welcome.
  The "Pescamar" has permission to sail up to 25 miles from the coast and charters are by the hour.
